Yesterday Lon
started his 11th round of chemo.
This regimen has been recurring every two weeks since August 27…almost a full
day at the clinic and then home with a round-the-clock chemo pump for 46
hours. Tomorrow he gets it disconnected
once again. The good news is that his
CA19-9 number is down three more points since last time – down to 16! His side effects are tolerable, and he has
been able to enjoy some great times with family and friends.
We are still
praying for a miracle of healing, but daily we are experiencing miracles of
strength and health beyond what anyone predicted. WE ARE SO THANKFUL for all your prayers and
for our faithful God. Next Tuesday Lon has another CT scan, so we should have more information then about what is happening inside his body.
Last weekend our
kids and grandkids met us at Great Wolf Lodge for two nights and days for some
fun activity while Lon attended the NAPUS Mid Winter Conference as a
retiree. He got to spend time with
family and Postmaster friends – definitely making a memory for the family!
