June Happenings

At the beginning of the month, Jo and Bronco Huge hosted us and some of our friends (also formerly of Friday Harbor) for lunch.  It was a very fun reunion!!!
Ellingsons, Huges, Bennetts, Posenjaks

Gail loves - and is loved by - all these people, so it was wonderful that she was home and could be part of this.

Petersburg Alaska!
Lon took a little break from his cancer treatments to feel better
and to go fishing for two weeks with his brother, Terry in Alaska.

While Lon was playing around in Alaska, Gail and Janet took a couple little trips of our own...
The first to Bellingham over the North Cascades Hwy to visit friend, Lonnie Vaughn -

and the second with Carol to explore Bainbridge Island overnight.

The day before Father's Day Lon was surrounded by our three children
Brad, Carol, Lon & Gail

and six of the eight grand kids.
Emma, Lon, Elliott, Spencer
Jessie, Lielti, Janet, Wesley

The month finished with a devastating fire across the Columbia River from our town - at the north end of Wenatchee where 29 homes and some large business were destroyed.  Fortunately, no lives were lost, nor were any people injured.
