Hot Summer - Special Gatherings

This has been an especially hot summer with many days of temps in the triple digits.  We are thankful for inexpensive air conditioning and great times with friends and family to make the time enjoyable.

Brad and Lindsey invited us to join their family on an outing to the Wenatchee River in Tumwater Canyon one hot afternoon - fun to get away from home and see the kiddos play in the water and sand.

On July 4 we had a fun group at our house for BBQ dinner 

and watching from our deck the fireworks show across the Columbia .

A few days later we got to do some preservation of fruit with the grand kids.

On the 17th we went to Everett to celebrate Gary & Paula Wenell's 50th anniversary with a number of people we knew from our youth and early married years at Lynnwood Baptist Church.  That was definitely worth the hours of driving there and back in a day!
