Yes, we're still around!

Over the last few months Lon has done some heavy work with landscaping and we've had numerous visitors. Here are a few representative pictures:

Our five youngest grandchildren lined up on the deck -
Spencer (1) Jessie (2) Wesley (3) Emma (4) and Elliott (5)
Not pictured are Jake (8) and Ryan (10)

Here they are seated with some freshly baked cookies.

Lon and Jessie with Nathan Phillips, missionary to France, who spent a couple nights with us

Grandma Jessie's grandson, John, his wife Jen and Anna visited.

Paul, Laela, Jamie, Grandma Jessie, Jamie and Karen here for an early Mother's Day visit

Spencer, Lindsey, Wesley, Brad, Elliott, Grandma and Uncle Ron - here for Mother's Day

Cute shots of Grandma Jessie and Spencer
He wants to see how it works!

...and then the very heavy RR ties Lon unloaded from the truck by himself - up onto the high bank!

...and after some digging, placing of ties, securing of landscape fabric and planting...

...before the ties were cut and used to terrace the south side of the house...

...and after...looking from the other side... with Grandma Jessie catching some rays one morning

...and with her frogs from Magnolia.

Carolyn and Jim were here for a visit, too, bringing the frogs and the windmill - but somehow we didn't think to take a picture when they were here.

What fun, cookies and Grandpa and Grandma's house!

The landscaping looks great too, that's exactly what we've been doing...in a few weeks on to phase 4!

Laurie :)
