Skagway - White Pass Excursion

Excursions from Skagway included helicopter tours to glaciers & dog sledding, hikes, canoeing, rafting, Jeep rental, White Pass train tour, gold panning, etc.
We took the bus up to White Pass, stopping at Liarsville, a camp where the journalists stayed during the gold rush.  We were entertained with music and poetry of the era (late 1890's) and could try our hand at panning for gold.  Everyone's pan had some specks hidden in the gravel.

Then at Fraser, BC, we transfered to the White Pass Scenic Railway, (narrow gauge), for the trip back down the mountain to Skagway.
