Today Lon started his fourth round of chemo (these latest two being in Wenatchee). The last two weeks have been a little rougher than the preceding ones, but we understand that is to be expected due to the cumulative effect of the drugs.
GOOD NEWS: The tumor marker number (CA19-9) went down again - this time it was 87 - down from 126 two weeks ago and from 435 at the first measurement. The doctor said it is a very positive sign that the treatment is helping.
CONCERN: Swelling in his neck has developed over the past two days, and a Doppler test this afternoon indicated a clot, so Lon is now giving himself a daily injection of blood thinner. His Army medic background is serving him well there!
CT SCAN: October 18 - to check on the status of the tumor

Glad to hear the tumor is shrinking. Praying for you both during this battle. His grace is sufficient! Love, Bronco and Jo
