Lon resumed his chemo treatment yesterday after an extra week off to go on the "Trip-of-a Lifetime" for him. Most of his life he has been looking forward to someday going to Israel - to "walk where Jesus walked," but with the cancer diagnosis, it was looking as if that probably wouldn't happen. However, an opportunity presented itself just a month before the tour was to start; and he got the blessing of his oncologist, our passports quickly renewed, everything packed, and we were off to Tel Aviv on March 2. We saw SO MUCH in eleven days of touring Israel and Jordan!!

We have hundreds of pictures to organize, so have some work to do before we're ready to do a "presentation!" :-) Friends have been asking for something like that, so Janet is gradually getting more educated on the history she glazed over when in school. That ancient stuff just didn't seem very important at the time!
Lon felt so good on the trip - what a blessed answer to prayer! - and he wasn't anxious to get back to the chemo treatment for which he was scheduled yesterday. There was good news from his labs though: the CA19-9 number was down to 9, so that was very encouraging!
Thanks for all your prayers and words of support. We feel blessed beyond measure.
