"Ongoing Improvement!!"

We just met with Lon's oncologist who shared the results of his latest CT scan.  Her words were "ongoing improvement" when describing the findings.  His CA 19-9 marker was down to 8, the lowest it has been during this nearly 19 month chemo journey.  As long as Lon can tolerate the treatment and it appears to be controlling the cancer, the plan is to continue with this regimen of chemo - one day a week for three weeks, and then a week off.

We are rejoicing!!!  God has been so gracious to us, and we give Him the glory.  By now, Gail has arrived in Seattle after a two day trip from Papua New Guinea, so as soon as Lon is finished with his treatment today, we will be on our way to join her and the Smiths!!
